I’m a trained chef and librarian making a living as an information designer in New York City. The rest of the time, I’m thinking, writing and talking about food.

This site is a recounting of my culinary curiousity, hopefully bringing context to foods across cultures.  I try to raise awareness about the unusual, and shed light on the commonplace in our food landscape.  My naive goal?  I’d like for our planet to feel a bit smaller through our shared connections to food. That, and I figured if I gave a hoo-ha about this stuff, you might too.
